Atenolan^®

Atenolan^® contains the active substance atenolol.

Atenolol has a blocking effect mainly on certain receptors of the heart (heart-specific beta blockers) and has a stress-shielding effect on the heart. The work of the heart decreases and as a result the oxygen consumption of the heart and the blood pressure decrease.

Atenolan^® is used for high blood pressure, chest pain due to circulatory disorders of the coronary vessels and certain cardiac arrhythmias.
