Rivacor® plus and Rivacor® plus forte contain the active substances bisoprolol and hydrochlorothiazide.
Bisoprolol belongs to the group of so-called beta-blockers and is used to lower blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a drug from the group of thiazide diuretics (drugs that promote the excretion of water from the body) and helps to lower blood pressure by increasing the flow of urine.
Rivacor® plus and Rivacor® plus forte are used to treat high blood pressure (primary hypertension) in patients whose blood pressure cannot be adequately treated with bisoprolol or hydrochlorothiazide alone.
