Pantip®

Pantip® contains the active substance pantoprazole.

Pantoprazole is a so-called selective proton pump inhibitor, a medicine that causes less acid to be produced in the stomach. It is used to treat acid-related stomach and intestinal disorders.

Pantip® 20 mg is given to adults and adolescents aged 12 for the treatment of mild reflux disease and associated symptoms (e.g. heartburn, acid regurgitation, pain on swallowing). Long-term therapy and prevention of reflux oesophagitis.

Pantip® 20 mg is given to adults for the prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers in patients at risk who need to take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs, e.g. ibuprofen) on a long-term basis, as these drugs can cause such ulcers.

Pantip® 40 mg is given to adults and adolescents aged 12 years for the treatment of reflux oesophagitis.

Pantip® 40 mg is given to adults for combination therapy for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori with two suitable antibiotics in patients with peptic ulcer, duodenal ulcer, ventricular ulcer. Pantip® 40 mg is used in adults in Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and other conditions where too much acid is produced in the stomach. It is also used in adults for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers.
