Potassium iodide G.L. contains the active substance potassium iodide.
Potassium iodide G.L. 65 mg tablets are used for iodine blockade of the thyroid gland in the event of nuclear accidents (prevention of radioactive iodine [iodine-131] being stored in the thyroid gland).

The tablet can be divided into equal doses with the help of a cross-break groove.
A single intake is usually sufficient. In exceptional cases, the competent authority will recommend another tablet intake.
