Dabahib^®

Dabahib^® contains the active ingredient dabigatran etexilate and belongs to a group of drugs called anticoagulants. It works by blocking a substance made by the body that is involved in the formation of blood clots.

Dabahib^® 75 mg and 110 mg are used in adults to:

– prevent the formation of blood clots in the veins after knee or hip replacement surgery.

Dabahib^® 110 mg and 150 mg are used in adults to:

– prevent the formation of blood clots in the brain (stroke) and in other blood vessels in the body of patients suffering from a form of cardiac arrhythmia (non-valvular atrial fibrillation) and have at least one additional risk factor.

– treat blood clots in the leg veins and lungs and prevent the formation of new blood clots in the leg veins and lungs.

Dabahib^® 75 mg, 110 mg and 150 mg are used in children to:

– treat blood clots and prevent the formation of new blood clots.
