Aglandin^® retard

Aglandin^® retard contains the active substance tamsulosin.

Tamsulosin is a so-called alpha1A receptor blocker. It relaxes the muscles of the prostate and the urethra. 

Aglandin^® retard is used in men to treat prostate problems associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia, both as a single treatment and in combination with other medicines. The muscle relaxation facilitates the passage of urine and supports urination.

The capsule is taken unchewed with a glass of water while standing or sitting (not lying down). For safety reasons, the medicine should be taken after breakfast or after the first meal of the day. The capsule must not be split or pulled apart as this may impair the delayed release of the active substance.
