Alodan^®

Alodan^® contains the active substance pethidine.

The active substance pethidine in Alodan^® is a strong analgesic (painkiller) whose analgesic effect is achieved by influencing the nervous system. The transmission of pain impulses is inhibited. 

Alodan^® is used for the short-term treatment of severe pain in adults and adolescents aged 16 and over.

Alodan^® is used for severe pain of various origins, colic of the digestive and urogenital tract (with the exception of colic of the gall bladder and the draining bile ducts) and myocardial infarction. It is also used to prepare for surgery and in obstetrics to achieve a largely pain-free birth.
