Anastrolan® contains the active substance anastrozole.
Anastrozole belongs to a group of medicines called “aromatase inhibitors”.
Anastrolan® is used to treat breast cancer in women after menopause.
Anastrolan® works by lowering the amount of the hormone oestrogen produced by the body. This is done by inhibiting a natural substance (an enzyme) in the body called “aromatase”.
