Ascalan® contains the active substance doxazosin.
The active substance doxazosin lowers blood pressure by dilating the arterial blood vessels and improves urine flow in patients with benign enlargement of the prostate by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and urinary bladder.
Ascalan® is given to adults.
Ascalan® is used in hypertension (monotherapy and combination therapy) and in benign enlargement of the prostate (prostate gland) when surgery is not required.
