Cevitol^® contains the active ingredient ascorbic acid (vitamin C).

Vitamin C is vital for the human body and influences a multitude of metabolic processes. It must be supplied regularly and in sufficient quantities because it cannot be produced by the body itself.

Cevitol^® is used to prevent and treat vitamin C deficiencies and methaemoglobinaemia (a rare blood disorder that can lead to a lack of oxygen in the blood).

Severe vitamin C deficiency can be accompanied by various symptoms, including skin bleeding, gingivitis or tooth loss and tissue swelling.
