Etibi®

Etibi® contains the active substance ethambutol.

Ethambutol is a germ-killing antibiotic that is effective against the pathogens that cause tuberculosis (mycobacteria).

Etibi® is given to adults, adolescents and children aged 3 months and over.

Etibi® tablets and ampoules are used to treat tuberculosis, always in combination with other antibiotics that are also effective against mycobacteria.

Etibi® ampoules are used to treat patients in whom ingestion is not possible or in whom the active substance has not been absorbed by the body or has been absorbed insufficiently after ingestion.

The official guidelines for the appropriate use of antimicrobial agents must be taken into account when using Etibi®.
