Irbepress®-HCT contains the active substances irbesartan and hydrochlorothiazide.
Irbesartan belongs to a class of medicines known as angiotensin II receptor antagonists. Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to a type of medicine that increases urine excretion and thereby lowers blood pressure.
Irbepress®-HCT is used to treat essential hypertension.
This fixed combination is indicated in adult patients whose blood pressure has not been adequately lowered with irbesartan or hydrochlorothiazide alone.
