Motrim^®

Motrim^® contains the active substance trimethoprim.

Trimethoprim is an antibiotic and inhibits the growth and reproduction of certain pathogens (bacteria). It is excreted through the kidneys and can be detected in high concentrations in the urine.

Motrim^® is used

• for uncomplicated urinary tract infections caused by germs sensitive to trimethoprim,
• for long-term prophylaxis of recurrent urinary tract infections.

The tablet is taken unchewed. If gastrointestinal irritation occurs, the tablet should be taken with a meal.
