Obexorin^®

Obexorin^® is a pharmaceutical for weight loss that contains the substance liraglutide. It is similar to a naturally occurring hormone, the so-called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), which is released from the intestine after a meal.Obexorin^® has an effect on receptors in the brain that regulate appetite, triggering an increased feeling of satiation and reducing hunger. This can help you to eat less and lose weight.

Obexorin^® is used in addition to a diet and physical exercise for adults from age 18 to lose weight, with

• a BMI of 30 kg/m² or higher (classified as obese) or

• a BMI of 27 kg/m² and less than 30 kg/m² (classified as overweight) and with health problems associated with weight (such as diabetes, high blood pressure, elevated blood fat levels or respiratory problems during sleep, so-called “obstructive sleep apnoea”).

The BMI (Body Mass Index) is a measurement for assessing your weight in relation to your height.

Obexorin^® can be used to supplement a healthy diet and more physical exercise for young people aged 12 or older in cases of:

• obesity (according to a medical diagnosis)
• a body weight over 60 kg.

Obexorin^® can be used to supplement a healthy diet and more physical exercise to regulate weight for children aged 6 to < 12 years in cases of

• adiposity (diagnosed by your doctor)
• a body weight ≥ 45 kg.

Diet and physical activity

Your doctor will prescribe a diet and training programme for you. Adhere to this programme during use of Obexorin^®.
