Osteoviva® belongs to a group of medicines called bisphosphonates. Osteoviva® can counteract bone loss by stopping further bone loss and increasing bone mass in most women who take it. Osteoviva® can help reduce the risk of bone fractures.
Osteoviva® is used to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at increased risk of fractures.
