Oxsoralen®

Oxsoralen® contains the active substance 8-methoxypsoralen (methoxalene).

The active substance 8-methoxypsoralen is a medicine that becomes effective through UV irradiation.

Oxsoralen® is used for the treatment of severe and most severe cases of psoriasis vulgaris as part of PUVA therapy (PUVA = psoralen + UV-A rays) in adults.

Oxsoralen® is used to relieve the skin symptoms of the advanced phase of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (a tumour that develops in the skin and originates from special white blood cells called T-lymphocytes) when other forms of treatment have not been effective.
