Petinimid® contains the active substance ethosuximide.
Ethosuximide is used to treat so-called “small seizures” (petit mal with absences).
In mixed forms of epilepsy, ethosuximide is used to eliminate the petit mal component.
Ethosuximide can be administered together with other anticonvulsants to achieve an appropriate therapeutic success in mixed forms of epilepsy.
