Ramlolan^®-HCT

Ramlolan^®-HCT contains three active ingredients: Ramipril, amlodipine and hydrochlorothiazide.

Ramipril belongs to a drug class called ACE inhibitors (angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors). It works by

• reducing your body’s own production of substances that can cause your blood pressure to rise.
• relaxing and expanding your blood vessels.
• making it easier for your heart to pump blood through your body.

Amlodipine belongs to a drug class called calcium antagonists. It works by

• relaxing and expanding your blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily.

Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to a drug class called thiazide diuretics (water pills). It works by

• increasing the amount of fluid excreted (urine excretion) which reduces blood pressure.

Ramlolan^®-HCT is taken for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) in adult patients who are adequately controlled by simultaneous administration of the active ingredients as single-drug tablets in the same dose strengths as in combination products.
