Tanatril® contains the active substance imidapril.
Tanatril® belongs to a group of medicines called ACE inhibitors (ACE = angiotensin converting enzyme).
Tanatril® is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).
Tanatril® dilates the blood vessels so that the blood can flow more easily. This lowers the blood pressure. It also makes it easier for the heart to pump blood through the vessels throughout the body.
