Tizagelan® belongs to a group of medicines called muscle relaxants.
The drug may be prescribed by a doctor for muscle spasms caused by certain diseases of the spine or as a result of surgery on the musculoskeletal system (for example, vertebrae or hip joint). Furthermore, it can be prescribed for muscle cramps as a result of diseases of the nervous system, such as multiple sclerosis or after a stroke.
